Elliott Yamin set to perform at UCCS Monday, Aug. 25
Since his break on season five of American Idol, Yamin has released multiple songs which peaked on the music charts. His self-titled album, Elliott Yamin, topped the Indie music album charts at #1 and his hit single from that album, “Wait for You,” skyrocket to #4 on the US Adult Contemporary chart. Currently, Yamin has been working on new music and in late July released a new song with popular Australian rapper Shane Hubbard titled, “Save Me.”
“We are thrilled to have Elliott Yamin performing at this event, he is tremendously talented and the reaction to him performing at this event has been nothing but positive excitement,” said station manager Brandon Ortega. “Working alongside the Office of Student Activities has been a benefit to both organizations as we can bring the community a bigger and better concert.”
The event will open with a performance by popular YouTube singer/songwriter Hana Pestle. Pestle, has three YouTube video’s which each have reached over a half million views.
The concert is presented by UCCS Radio and the Office of Student Activities. Sponsors for this event include the UCCS Bookstore, Bricks Sports Bar & Grill, and the UCCS Student Government Association. The concert will start at 7 p.m., and is free and open to the public, free parking for the public will be available in lot 224.
